Seeing God in the Sparrows

Matthew 6:26 (NIV) "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Call me simple, but this verse calms my soul every time I read it.

Think about it. The Maker of the universe, The Creator and Sustainer of all life...HE knows your name and your every need and most notably He promises to provide them.

What an awesome God we serve. My only reply is that of the Psalmist… "When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him?"

Thank You Lord for Your overwhelming care and concern for Your creation. May every sparrow we see forever remind us of Your faithful love.
