God Knows What We Need
A little long, but bare with me… it's a good story that happened to me just a few weeks ago.
So, our dryer went out on Sunday night. Truth be told it has been "going out" for a while now, but it officially retired this specific weekend. You can imagine that puts a little stress on the pocket book and on my lovely wife who stays at home raising our daughter.
Moving on, I found out that a good friend of mine (let's call him Bob) needed some financial assistance on Monday night (the day after our dryer broke). Therefore, I called 4 of my good friends (on top of my discipleship friend that I speak with everyday) on Tuesday morning to see if they could chip in to help out my buddy Bob.
Of the four friends that I called, I only got ahold of one of them (let's call him John). John not only gave us some cash to help out Bob, but he also happened to have an EXTRA dryer in his garage that he willingly and generously gave to us AND delivered it to my house that same night!
How amazing it that!? What are the chances!? How good is our God!?
Let me summarize…
Out of all my friends in Dallas, I randomly called 4 guys to help out a good friend in need. I only got ahold of 1 of them AND the very one that I talked to had the resources (& the heart) to help out my friend AND had an EXTRA dryer in his garage to give!
Why is this such a big deal? Because God's word is alive and active!…
*God truly knows what we need before we even ask Him (I hadn't even prayed about my dryer yet). - Matt 6:8
*When we help others, God helps us. - Prov 28:27
*God literally takes care of our every need (as He promises). - Matt 6:25-34
