Serve the Suffering (3)

Jeremiah 22:16 "He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?" declares the LORD.

I find this verse incredible… Scripture reveals many evidences of a heart and a life changed for Christ and here tucked away in the Old Testament we find such a definitive statement from the LORD about protecting the poor and the needy.

May each of us know the LORD and walk with Him in such a way that our lives are full of evidence that we are His children… and may one of them be defending the cause of the poor and needy.
