Goers & Senders

I took a missions class at my church a while back and in one of the sessions they talked about "goers" and "senders." In short, all of us as Christians are called to be a part of sharing the gospel all over the world. Some go, some send and some have seasons of both in their lives.

I love the example of the Macedonian churches in 2 Corinthians...

Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints...

But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us see that you also excel in this grace of giving. - 2 Cor 8:2-7

If you are in the "sending" season in your life, I would like to introduce you to my dear friends Kyle and Amy. They are missionaries in New York City doing some wonderful things among unreached people groups.

They are currently in need of support from financial partners who will come alongside them in this endeavor.  East West Ministries is who they work for and has made it easy to support them by providing a way to give online.  Donors are able to give monthly through an automatic draft or a one time gift.  Please visit www.eastwest.org/PiersonDonate to reach their page.

Note: You will not see a picture of them on the main page for safety purposes.

If you would like to serve as prayer partners, please send me your email address and I will get you added to their "ministry updates" list.

Kyle, Amy and Eva are so thankful for your partnership in prayer and resources.  They could not serve in New York without you.
