Who Shut the Mouths of Lions...

Heb 11:33b "Who shut the mouths of lions"

Daniel is a hero in our Christian faith. I was reminded of this verse in some of my reading this week...

"But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God." (Daniel 6:10 NLT)

Is there any doubt how Daniel became one of the heroes of our faith? Did you catch it?..."He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done."

Here is a refresher on Daniel's life:

- He was a prophet of God

- Strong in faith and conviction, choosing to honor God's laws over the laws of his country

- Interpreted dreams

- Became the "chief of governors" of Babylon

- Was delivered from the lion's den

- And is mentioned as an example of righteousness & wisdom by his contemporaries
