Worries, Wealth & Wanting...

“Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful." - Mark 4:18

If you have heard the word of God, then know for certain that the seed has been sown into your heart. What kind of soil did it fall on- the path, the rocks, or the thorns? (All of which are unfruitful.) Or did it fall on the good soil, where it produces crops 30, 60 or 100 times what was sown?

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, He has called you to bear fruit (John 15:16). Therefore, let us make every effort to purge ourselves from the worries of this life, our longing for wealth and any desire for other things, so that we may serve Him fully and wholeheartedly all the days of our life.
