One of My Favorite Prayers...
The Serenity Prayer...
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next. Amen."

A verse that I believe fits perfectly with this prayer is Romans 8:28-29a which states...
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son,... (NIV)
God is always working, molding and transforming us into the image of Christ and for that we can find comfort and even joy in the challenges of life.
The Lord has specifically been teaching me patience over the past few weeks and I have often thought about "The Serenity Prayer.' It has encouraged me in my walk with Christ and I hope it does the same for you.
