Time Heals All Wounds...or Does It?

I was eating some wonderful orange chicken at a local chinese restaurant in Plano when I decided to crack open my fortune cookie. Inside were the words "time heals all wounds" and that got me thinking... I couldn't disagree more!

Time has done little to help me heal, to help me forget and forgive what pain has been inflicted upon me. In fact, time has done nothing more than embed the bitterness and resentment in my heart even further, therefore carving a deeper and deeper trench into my soul.

Yes, time does distance the offense; it does distance the hurt inflicted on us... but Jesus, He alone "heals all wounds." He alone sets the captives free. He alone puts my soul at rest. It is by His grace and His mercy that we are healed.

Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
